make excuses for Mickey Rourke. You lay all the cards on
the table and say "OK, here he is. He's a complex human
being just like the rest of us. You don't have to like
it, but the least you can do is respect it. And if you
don't, that's okay because I don't respect you then
either". Honestly, I wish I had the kind of courage you
ladies do. We should all have fans to stick up for us
like Mickey has in you. Keep up the great work and keep
keeping it real.

Rourke receive all the adulation he deserves! I've yet
to see The Wrestler, but will be there opening
night in Philadelphia. I have been a fan since the 80's
and own practically all his movies. I appreciate good
acting and always recognized the talent with which Mr.
Rourke is so generously endowed. It also doesn't hurt
that he's easy on the eyes. There was hardly a young
woman living through the 80's didn't go crazy over him
on screen. I have such fond memories of my friends and I
toting home a Rourke movie for a big Saturday night on
the sofa, with our white socks sticking up on the coffee
table and sneakers kicked all over the room. It was
great fun and I'd give a couple of paychecks to re-live
some of those times. I still get a thrill watching
Angel Heart, Barfly, The Pope...... and think to
myself, "there was never anyone like him & will never be
again." No one ever looked that good and embodied that
kind of talent. Sorry, but James Dean doesn't deserve to
be mentioned in the same breath as Mickey Rourke. No one
can come up to him. I will always admire Mr. Rourke and
hope all the best times are ahead for him. Thank you for
all the current information about him & I will continue
to tune in to your website from time to time.
